Copyediting + proofreading

Background

I knew Jess through attending after school activities with our boys. She got in touch as she was looking for someone to help her polish TWD Welcome Pack before it went to print.

Brief

To copyedit and proofread a 60-page welcome pack booklet that they give to new clients planning a wedding. The booklet needed to be informative, useful and engaging and express their unique, friendly tone of voice.

Approach

As the copy was already set in the design, I was not able to edit the document in Word as I usually would. Instead, I asked the graphic designer to send me through the Adobe InDesign files and I was able to edit and proofread in context due to my experience in using the software. The polished file was then sent back to the client.
