The power of SEO website content writing

Your website is often the first place people go to find out about your business. So, it’s important you make a good impression. A beautiful, easy-to-navigate web design is crucial. But don’t scrimp on the words.

What you say on your website is just as important as what it looks like, if not more so. But creating high-quality content yourself isn’t as easy as you think. It requires specific knowledge and can be time-consuming. And as a business owner or marketing professional, time is probably something you’re short on.

Good optimised content should

  • Speak to your target audience
  • Tap into needs and pain points
  • Be clear and compelling
  • Engage site visitors
  • Show your personality
  • Build your credibility
  • Boost your Google rankings
  • Encourage action
  • Increase clicks

Identifying your SEO keywords

SEO keywords are the words and phrases people type into Google (or another search engine) to find what they’re looking for. To optimise your website copy (help it rank higher), you need to identify a unique target keyword plus other synonyms with the right keyword intent for each page.

Your chosen keywords should have a decent search volume and a low difficulty rating. As you website copywriter, I can help you identify the right specific keywords for each web page with in-depth keyword research. I’ll then use them to boost your on-page and off-page SEO-minus any keyword stuffing. This includes incorporating them into your H1s, H2s, body, meta tags, meta descriptions, image alts and more.

Meet your SEO website copywriter

Hi, I’m Kerrie Brooks. I’ve written 100s of pages of web content for happy clients both in Australia and around the world.

With a background in marketing and having been a successful copywriter and web writer both in-house and as a freelancer for over 19 years, I’m highly skilled in the art and science of writing compelling website content that speaks to your clients or customers, as well as search engines.

I can craft everything from brand and services pages to SEO product descriptions and landing pages. I also work on other website content, such as blogs, articles and ebooks, case studies, and video scripts. Plus, as a brand copywriting specialist, I can develop your unique positioning, tone of voice and taglines.

My website content writing process.

Here’s what to expect when you work with me. It’s as easy as a,b,c.

a. Discovery

Once you’ve completed my initial Project Brief and signed the proposal, the ‘Discovery’ phase begins. To write your website content, I need to know everything about your business – from your values and mission to your services and ‘why’. For this, I typically send out a Discovery Questionnaire and follow this up with a Zoom or phone call.

b. Writing

After the Discovery phase is done and you’ve sent me through any additional information I’ve asked for, I’ll do a whole lot of competitor and industry research and then start writing the first draft (D1) of your website. This involves creativity combined with SEO know-how and application of my research.

c. Revisions

Once your first draft is ready, I’ll send you a website copy deck for review. This lays out your web copy, includes all SEO elements, and is easy for your web designer or developer to use. Now’s your chance to review your website content, check for accuracy and suggest changes. We then talk them through and revise if necessary
